Welcome to St Helens & Knowsley and Greater Manchester Services. Please read on to find out more about us:
What we do
We provide supported accommodation, residential care, floating support, access services and personal care across the North West.
We support adults with learning disabilities, aspergers syndrome, autism and mental health issues. We also offer services to older people with dementia.
We can deliver support to individuals choosing to live alone, in a group or with their family. We deliver support in the home, at work or college, or out and about in the community. We pride ourselves on enabling our clients to lead rich and fulfilling lives.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission as a '3 star excellent service'. We have also achieved a 'B' rating through the Quality Assurance Framework with Supporting People and are working towards upgrading to an 'A' rating.
Our areas:
Greater Manchester:
Stockport Aspergers Project
We work in partnership with Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council to provide a specialist support service to people diagnosed with aspergers syndrome and associated conditions. We consult the person and deliver life planning advice, guidance, mentoring and coaching to enable them to achieve their goals. We also offer a drop in centre so individuals can access advice and support in a social setting.
We also provide services to people in this area with learning disabilities, mental health issues or those needing support with alcohol issues.
Bury Services:
In Bury we provide services to individuals living in their own home or with their family and who receive a direct payment. We help clients to produce their own person centred plan which focuses on how they want to live their life and achieve their goals.
St Helens & Knowlsey:
We provide a range of support services to people living in this area, encouraging them to lead a full life through their person centred plan. Individuals are supported in their home, out in the community and with college or work activities. Each home has a dedicated and experienced team ensuring positive outcomes for the individuals we support.
Higher Road is a three-bed bungalow in the Halewood area which provides a safe environment at short notice to people who are experiencing difficulties. Referrals to Higher Road are usually made by Care Managers.
Individuals benefit from a highly trained and motivated team who have experience of supporting individuals with a range of disabilities. Individuals can come to live in the home for a number of different reasons but it is usually because their placement with another support service or their family has broken down.
Individuals live in the home for up to six months and during this time, they benefit from a Health Action Plan and a person centred plan which identify their support requirements. Individuals also receive an intensive daily living skills plan which will help them with their relocation to a new home.
