1st June 2013 - Plant and Garden Furniture Sale
The launch kicks off at 10am on Saturday June 1st and on hand for expert horticulture and gardening advice will be Geoff Little, the garden centre manager with over 30 years horticulture experience. You will also have the pleasure of tasting the culinary skills of staff from the café side of the enterprise who will be serving homemade scones and cakes, whilst visitors peruse around the various greenhouses. Visitors can also visit the wood workshop and see for themselves, staff at work carving benches, birdboxes and other assorted garden furniture. Click here for more information.
Our first review took place in December and our assessor was able to confirm we still remain fully compliant with the CSE standard. Feedback included:
Families & Clients - very positive about the service we deliver and had lots of great things to say
Partners - The praise from partners continues to rise. He observed strong partnerships and was impressed with the way we worked together which is so important in order to progress. Partners also said they were impressed with the open door policy we have here and how everyone is so approachable
Staff - they also talked a lot about the openness in head office and how people are available to talk to them and always gave them time. Staff were always keen and looking for ways to improve the already excellent service we deliver.
Our assessor remains impressed with our service and says you can feel the excitement about the services we deliver and was pleased that everyone he spoke to was saying the same thing.
As part of its continued commitment to the highest levels of welfare and positive development of its staff the Brothers of Charity Services Merseyside and Greater Manchester have been successful in being awarded a prestigious Silver Level accreditation in Investors in People.
The IIP assessor was very complementary about many areas of our Services including having clear organisational values and goals, excellent communication between staff members and strong leadership at different levels of the organisation.In attaining Silver level IiP this clearly illustrates the Brothers of Charity Services continued commitment to maintaining and increasing service quality and performance through creating a positive and supportive environment for all our staff to continually improve and grow as people and as colleagues and it is a key performance driver for the Services to achieve its ongoing strategic objectives and delivery of the Brothers of Charity Mission Statement .
